Behind The Curtain: Harrison Kennedy
The 2016 JUNO Award winner has raised the bar yet again with WHO U TELLIN’? Firmly established as one of the 21st Century’s foremost Blues singer/ songwriters, Harrison has enlisted the talents of JIMMY BOWSKILL (Sheepdogs, Blue Rodeo), Co-Producer ALEC FRASER (Jeff Healey band, Fraser Daley) and fellow Juno winners (Canada’s Grammy) JACK DE KEYZER and JULIAN FAUTH on the 12 down home originals and 1 cover “Patches”, which were recorded at Toronto’s Lincoln Park Social Club studio. Harrison’s dynamic vocal gifts, which have won him worldwide acclaim going all the way back to his days as a founding member of the million selling Detroit Soul Super Group the Chairmen of the Board in the 70’s, are aptly showcased here on the new album. LIVING BLUES magazine says it best “Harrison Kennedy is a modern Blues Master of True Substance”.
Tiny Escritoire Concerts Hamilton has a rich collection of Civic Museums that connect us to our local history and heritage through 10 physical locations and more than 150 annual events.
While most of these locations are currently closed or with modified programming, we thought it would be fun to bring you into some of the less accessible spaces through a series of lunchtime concerts we’re calling Tiny Escritoire Concerts. Four concerts featuring local musicians will be broadcast live to our website and social media platforms during Winterfest. We’ll present a diverse mix of the incredible musical talent that calls Hamilton home that you can enjoy completely free from the comfort or your home or office. From February 23rd, Harrison Kennedy at the Griffin House, a 2016 Juno award winning musician.
